Key Person

We believe that children settle best when they have a key person to relate to, who knows them and their parents well, and who can meet their individual needs. We want children to feel safe, stimulated and happy in our setting and ensure parents/carers have confidence in us that their child is well looked after and will therefore thrive.

Each child is allocated a designated member of staff who will be the child’s key person acting as the key point of contact and wworking with parents/carers to plan and deliver a personalised plan for the child’s well-being, care and learning. The key person provides regular updates to the parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and to alert them of any problems or concerns that may have arisen.

Parents/carers can speak to any member of staff at any time if they wish to discuss their child’s progress Staff are always happy to be approached at the beginning or end of a session to discuss any questions, concerns or share information that parents/carers may have.  However, if you would like to have a longer discussion, please talk to the Preschool Managers to book a time
